To the working mommies that also did breast feeding I have questions.
How long did you wait before you started pumping for supply?
At how many months did you return back to work?
Did you have any techniques to help produce more milk?

That’s a nice schedule , I had the option to pump and work since I work at home but it was too much to handle
I pumped from the jump. Like the other mom said some recommend not pumping so you can regulate milk properly but in my case it helped more by pumping. I was able to have enough saved so when I went back to work at 4 months she would never have to worry about not having enough milk. I also pumped at work during breaks and stored it in the freezer. I did exclusive breastfeed/breast milk for 18months (she still had normal foods for her age as she got older).
Gatorade helps, Mother’s milk tea, oats/granola, and lots of water.
I exclusively breastfeed/ pump for the first 4 months. After that my supply started to drop so I have to supplement.
The lactation consultant I met with told me not to pump for the first few weeks. I waited a month before I started to build my stash. I did find that hard though because by the time I was done nursing I didn’t have much to pump. Next baby I will start pumping right from the beginning.
I was out of work for 15 weeks
I tried everything to build my supply back up but nothing worked for me.
Just make sure you get plenty to drink. Water, Gatorade, body armor are good. Oatmeal can also help
If you can try to meet with a lactation consultant. I found them very helpful when I was starting our. Also kellymom.com has great info.

I think some consultant see an oversupply as a bad thing and it’s really not
@mamaof2soon, I agree. I would of rather had an over supply than my lack of supply now.
I started pumping as soon as my milk came in I had such a good output almost 20 ounces every three hours
People say not to pump at first because they can mess up your supply but in my case is better . I stop pumping when my daughter was four months and now I am nursing her
I had over 5000 oz frozen so she drinks that now
I went back to work my daughter was almost 5 months
I drink a lot of water and drink the mothers milk tea and also took some Feengreuk pills

@mamaof2soon, @iuiblessing2018, Thank you! I have 16 weeks maternity leave. With my job I have a split schedule where I have about a 4 hour break. I know I could go and breastfeed on my break but I don’t want her to become dependent upon me coming there everyday. That’s a habit I don’t want to start. I want to have enough supply stored for when I go back to work.
