It wasn’t too bad, but I definitely wouldn’t have gone if I were too much farther along. It helped a lot that it’s pretty chilly in the cavern so you’re not outside in the heat on top of doing the hike. I still sweat my booty off, but I wasn’t miserable. We went all the way down and through in about an hour and a half even with 5 kids 9yro and under
