White here🤝 I do stand up and say I've used coke and BBQ sauce and dr Pepper and bbq sauce marinated on pork chops and chicken before in crock pot it's so goooooood . Don't freak out, bad choice of words she used but it's cool it's all love not hate here

But I’m biracial and I’ve been raised around only my Caucasian family members and we have NEVER cooked meat with soda, so I’m confused as to WHERE THE FUCK DO YOU LIVE THAT “mostly” white people do that? Was that a trick comment like let me just see how quickly I can piss everyone off with a ignorant ass comment? 🤦🏻♀️
I’m mixed as well & also have been raised mostly around my father’s side of the family (who are Caucasian & Spanish) & NO ONE has ever used soda 🙄 the comment was such a tacky joke!

This is how I make my BBQ pulled pork. Doesn't have to be Dr pepper. Any dark soda works. The only difference is I add a packet of dry onion soup on top of meat before I add BBQ and soda.
PS BBQ is the ONLY time I use soda for my meat and I'm white over here 👋
@squishymommy1, I meant in general, sorry. 😂 definitely a must in burgers! My husband and oldest love it with steaks and we use it for our jerky we make!

You cover them in garlic and onion powder and pepper first. Then BBQ sauce then 1 cans worth of Dr Pepper. I bought a 1 liter because we don’t generally drink pop and cans would sit around and just had them measure out 1 1/2 cups

I've never seen someone add soda to ribs. I use beer lol, last time I didn't realize the only beer we had was not your dad's root beer or something like that and it was so yummy!
