Can you dilate any but not lose your mucus plug? Or would your mucus plug be something that is EXTREMELY noticeable to where it can’t be missed?
I don’t remember even seeing mine with my daughter. I was induced.

yes , it's different for everyone. Some women dont lose their plug when they dilate , but I did. But if you did lose it... you would see it when wiping , or maybe even on your panties. Mine was always on the toilet paper. After losing the mucus plug I know some women that went into labor hours later , not me.. I got induced and started losing mine weeks before induction, that's when I started my dilation also. So it's different for everyone. Losing the mucus plug can happen even before dilation starts, when it happens earlier in pregnancy, it usually regenerates itself, hope that helps.

I don’t remember having a mucus plug. They broke my water at 6cm so I may have lost it and not noticed

Yeah I don't remember either. Maybe it's not as noticeable as I'm thinking it is for some people

@thawkins, lol yeah I didn't even think of labor, I was just wondering about dilating. Like not dilation to an active labor. But just 1-3cm type.

I would also be fucked if I started dilating back then. I couldn’t imagine. This pregnancy has been rocky from the start anyways.

With both pregnancies I dilated but didn’t lose my mucus plug. The only time I thought I had lost some was after having sex one time

well my water broke with my first, I had a scheduled c section with my second. I’m guess when my water broke is when I lost it lol

I noticed mine coming out in chunks at 33 weeks. I definitely didn't miss mine.. everyone is different though. :)

Oh okay. I’m just like a ftm with that stuff 😂. I guess my concern is that I keep having BH and lighting crotch + pelvic pressure. So I'm concerned about dilating. But I'm trying to figure out if it's safe to say unless I see something like a mucus plug, I'm not dilating. 🤔
