Does this look normal?? He’s almost 2 weeks old and his stump fell off 3 days ago.

Yeah same with my daughter, it started hanging off and a bit bloodied and we kept going back for weight checks anyway so the doctor saw it and put silver nitrate on it to dry it up

Jacobs looked like that and his pediatrician put silver nitrate on it to close it. His fell off because it got stuck. It took 2 applications for it to completely close.

@llcoolkay, yes. I’m paranoid about the belly button so I told them until they agreed to put silver nitrate.

My sons looked like that. I asked his pedi and he said it’s fine and it’ll dry up, and to keep sponge bathing him till it does.
