I think it’s time to start weaning my son off of the binky. 👀 He’s discovered he has teeth. 🤦♀️
(It was taken away as soon as the damage was noticed. This binky is now being decommissioned.)
Any recommendations for a teeth-friendly binky while we work on weaning off of it? Or did anyone just go cold turkey with their babies?
My 3 year old threw all his binkys and bottles away his self 2 days after his 1st birthday.. I just wish it was that easy with potty training.
Cold turkey. It sucks for the first 3-5 days, but then you’re good! Good luck!
How did you guys go cold turkey at night??? Mine will not sleep without it. They are already off it during the day, they only have it for naps and bedtime
I did cold turkey. She cried most of the first night and it broke my heart so I rocked her all night. Then it wasn’t as bad the second and third night. By the 4th she was ok.
Technically not cold turkey I cut my daughters in half and gave it to her after 2 days she didn’t even look at it
I did the exact same thing and after she played and looked at it for a few days she let it go
Cold Turkey.
Once he bit a whole through his last pacifier, it was bye bye. He was okay without it.
Cold Turkey. My son is 2 1/2 I wish we took it away sooner. It was not as hard as I thought but he was so attached to it. Took 3 days for him to not ask for it anymore.
My plan was to start weaning around 1 year, but at 10 months and him starting to chew on it and get at the plastic, I’m nervous about letting him continue. He does often just drop it during the day, and he rarely wakes up because the binky falls out while sleeping (it falls out, he keeps sleeping).
I took my baby pacifier off like that in one shot because it's not good for their teeth and plus I wasn't having my son walking with a pacifier in his mouth he is not a little baby anymore I dont know that just me. But he did sleep with his blanket and it was much better he found comfort in that. I will tell u this he will wake up and cry for his pacifier but nope I didnt give it . It's very hard but I struggle more taken his bottle away
