What do you feed your 9 month old? We give our daughter a yogurt for breakfast and she eats a jar of baby food at dinner. She also has a total of 20-28 oz of breastmilk/formula throughout the day.
Should I be giving her more solids? More milk?
My app says she should have 3 meals and two snacks along with 24oz breastmilk/ formula but that seems like a lot.
First time mom so I feel like I have a lot to learn still. She goes for her check up on the 30th so I’ll talk to the doctor as well but would like to hear what other moms do.

We did baby led weaning and offered 3 meals after all allergy foods were introduced. On the other hand I had preemies and they didn't really start eating till 9 months. BLW way is food before 1 is just for fun also. 😊 Idk if this helps any!

By meals it's samples of everything we were eating.

I would start working on her pincher grasp. Start giving her the Gerber puffs, or something like that so she can learn to pick it up and feed herself. During meals I would switch her food to the Gerber mix-ins where you can mix in the quinoa to the baby food. Once she seems to handle that stuff well, start giving her soft foods.
I feed him solids first, then follow after to breastfeeding. Breakfast usually I give him peanut butter toast while I cook him some eggs. Lunch is usually leftovers, like today he’s going to have some chicken Parmesan I made the other night. Dinner tonight he’s going to have some of a casserole I’m making. For a veggie side I like to steam a bag of mixed veggies, and then I’ll give some each meal, and it will last a couple of days.
Mesh feeders have been good when you give a food and you don’t want them to choke. I’ve done some berries in it for him.
Definitely ask your dr, but I give 1-2oz of water per meal in a sippy cup.

@scidg3, @penelope127, thank you! I didn’t think about the Gerber mixes but I like that idea to get her use to thicker textured foods.
Does 20-28 oz of milk/formula seem right? We always start with milk then offer solids but sometimes she would rather have her yogurt and skip her milk.

Mashed potatoes or even soups too were great transitional foods. Mine loved potato soup, and his portion I would blend it so there was no potato chunks.
I’m not sure on the exact ounces, but mine still wants to nurse a lot. You figure that’s where they are still getting the majority of their liquids for the day.

I would try offering solids before a bottle in the mornings
