You’ve got this, my little one was born at 32+4 and was sent home from nicu at 35+1.
I roomed in for one night just so they could make sure he would feed with me and that I was still confident given him his medication.

It’s perfectly normal to be feeling scared, just wait till he is at home and you can all be one big family again.

You can do this. It’s great news that he’s strong. Love the name too. My littlest is Remy. There’s not many out there. What are your other children called?

It is a terrifying thought but it’s the most amazing feeling walking your baby out the unit.
I never done transitional care either due to my eldest being home.
I had a hard time when she was home I think the trauma of labour and I think I had a built a wall to barrier myself off from her, coping strategy I guess. I got some counselling and we are all good now.
Although it was difficult I still loved having her home where she belonged.

I was terrified too when I was told I could take George home from nicu. I couldn’t do transitional care either with having 3 at home.
You don’t need to be scared. You’ve got this under control. I cannot describe how amazing that feeling is when you walk out of those nicu doors with your baby!
