Hey Momas with IUD’s,
If anyone had an iud fail or had it come out on its own if y’all had any symptoms? I’ve been having some strong cramps and also some pressure in my vagina like if I had a tampon in but I don’t. I went to the urgent care today but the PA there wasn’t really any help and just told me to go to my OBGYN which I am tomorrow.

I had one awhile ago, I had to have it removed because my body was rejecting it. I had felt pressure and even pain when I walked around. My dr said it never moved out of place but since I was in pain, I had it removed
I’m pretty sure I’m going to end up getting it removed tomorrow when I go to my appt. It just feels so weird having that sensation of something being in there 😭 and then the cramping. It’s just a constant worrying if this iud is going to hurt me.
@emmy0628, I get it, that’s how I was. But you gotta think of it as it’s better than it being in constant worry 🤷🏻♀️
My cousin had hers dislodge and partially come out. She was cramping a lot but idk if she felt that sensation. Have you tried touching your strings?
I was never able to touch my strings because the way they were tucked in today I went to the urgent care but she said since she doesn’t deal with iud’s she doesn’t know if the iud was in place only that the strings looked very long.
I had mine tilt to the side. I was never able to feel the string. I went to my doctor & he did an X-ray they seen that since it tilted it was making a whole through. So they had to remove it right away. I had the (3 year) one at first but he said since it moved I needed a 10 year because the arms were longer than the 3 & there’s less chance of it moving.
