Nursing Nightgowns, rob for walking the halls or company & a nursing bra or T-shirt pjs, I didn’t want to wear pj pants or any pants lol, slippers Those socks suck and germs, I was there like 5 days. I didn’t end up getting milk and nursing, but still used the bra because it was comfy. I had an unexpected csection and wish I brought a support band & wish I had one because I have pelvic support problems still 3yrs pp and had to get one. I didn’t bring shampoo and soap and wish I did and your own toothbrush and toothpaste, comfy clothes and snacks for SO, I didn’t want mine leaving the room and my labor was over 28hrs (FTM), plus hospital food is yucky and I had my baby at 3am and was hungry after ,anything that you think will leave you comfort. I liked the hospital mesh things, but a lot of people don’t and the pads we’re good for me, but maybe bring your fave.
Pj & cute going home outfit for baby. Pj’s we’re my fave for baby.i over packed for my baby (ftm)
Best tip I got if my water breaks at home and mine did was Depends. Nothing else will hold it in and you will leak all the way to the hospital. I was vein and wouldn’t buy them, but dh got some for me and I tried a towel, period and pad made for pee and nothing worked like those Depends 😂 comfy for after baby too.
Best wishes!!!
I got a robe, comfy clothes and pjs , my personal hygiene stuff such as shampoo and conditioner , body wash n washcloths, Charger , headphones , i sneeked in juice lol and a pillow and blanket.
I second the sound machine! Mine was a fan/sound machine duo and it really helped cool me off so I could sleep and helped with the extra noise in the hallway while still being able to hear my little one cry at night
Things that aren’t recommend usually when you look up “hospital packing” lists that are absolute must haves for me:
• Heating pad. One that plugs in + a long extension cord. If you end up with a c-section, it’s SO beneficial when it comes to trapped air/gas. And, If you don’t up with a c-section it’s still helpful on the lower back from being in that bed + the epidural site.
If I was told I could only bring one thing to the hospital, it’d be that heating pad.
• A support band. My favorite is MamaStrut. Whether you have a C-section or a vaginal delivery, the extra support from a support band is tremendous. Some hospitals will give out basic ones, but I love MamaStrut because it’s like shorts attached so it doesn’t move around on your body. It stays put and keeps all your belly hugged in tight.

•Sound machine. Amazon has a great one for like $17.00 that’s plug in or battery operated. We like to place them right by the hospital door with the “white noise” option on to drown out the sounds of people & nurses in the hallway.
