My husband is constantly talking to me about the “tone” of my voice... he says that the tone of your voice and your attitude when disciplining your child will shape their personality in the early years. Now, I don’t doubt that he’s right, he’s extremely smart and constantly reading about baby development. What bothers me is that I feel like I’ve been doing better he even has told me I’m doing better but today when I didn’t even think I had a “tone” he says see that’s what I’m taking about you need to watch your tone... Honestly, my tone of voice is not bad and I don’t have an attitude I just raise my voice a few octaves when my daughter, who is 2 🤦🏻‍♀️, has not listed to what I’m saying for the 10,000th time and for the past 3 days I have not been doing that at all. Soooo I cried because I feel like I’ve been being sooooo calm and no attitude. I think it’s okay for your babies to see that we are not happy go lucky all the time I mean we are trying to help them understand emotions not make them think we are calm robots that nothing bothers right?? Idk just venting I guess. It just bothers me so much because I am constantly striving to be a great mother, constantly teaching her new things (I mean the girl knows all her ABC’s and can count to 20 and she’s 2 yrs 2 mos, I think my tone is fine...) and when he tells me these things it makes me feel like I’m not doing enough.

Thank you mama’s for all the support! I talked with him about his “tone” and approach and he is very empathetic to how I am feeling. Thank you again for all of your words of encouragement!

It’s ok to raise your voice every now and then, I do it too. I usually give my son the count of three and if he still doesn’t do what I say then that’s when I raise my voice. I’m not going to tell you how to raise your child but don’t ever let anybody else tell you. You’re doing a great job momma don’t ever feel bad for doing your motherly job. Anybody got a problem with how you’re doing the job tell them to see for themselves what you’re going through and see if they still think your losing your cool

There's nothing wrong with raising your voice every now an then. Sometimes you have too to get them to see that your not playing and what you say goes cause I have to do it to my 4 year old and my daughter who is 9months they listens so dont feel bad love he shouldn't talk to you like that in the first place.!!!!

Ask him to let you have a week away and he can deal with her 24/7 and see how he does. Does he ever compliment what you DO do with her??

He does compliment me on my mothering all the time, gotta give him credit there. He is amazing husband and awesome Dad. He just doesn’t realize that children will walk all over you if you let them lol

Parenting is the hardest thing. No one is an expert. I don’t even know what I’m doing majority of the time (even tho I only have one lol) and I bet other moms agree. I lose my shit daily. Why? Because I’m human with emotions. I’m sure you’re doing fine.

Yikes. HE needs to watch his tone. Maybe a swift kick in the ass might help?

All mothers lose it on their children every now and then. That’s nothing to feel bad about. There are times where I repeat myself alllll day long with my 4 year and eventually I end up yelling. If I have to constantly repeat myself, then my child is obviously not understanding my point. So I need to make it clear. Honestly, I feel like sometimes that’s the only way they will listen with certain things. No, it’s not good to do it all the time. But you will never meet a mother who has never raised her voice at her children. You can’t always be nice about it, that’s how you get walked all over on.

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

Am I wrong to be upset? Last night I was running a fever, weak, tired, sore, my left boob feels like it got used as a punching bag. I asked my husband to call out of work today to help me with the kid so I could get some rest. He went to work. I texted him this morning. Part of me thinks I mean. The other part of me thinks I was fine for saying that because he should've stayed home with us.

Transgender children So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are your thoughts on the matter? Do u think the parents are behind this? Idk because I haven't met the parents or children. I just think at 5 it's very young for children to really understand. What do u ladies think?
