I got a question ladies... So me and my husband kind of parent differently I'm more strict but every time my stepson doesn't listen or throws toys he gets in trouble. My husband calls me crazy and that I need to settle down. No there's gunna be disapline I've always been that away and I will be the same when our son gets older. Yeah sometimes I yell! It's like when he gets in trouble by his dad it's okay but when I do it I'm just crazy. what can I do about this?

if he doesnt get scolded how will he know he's doing something wrong? there's nothing wrong with parenting a little differently but i feel like maybe your husband doesnt want YOU to be the one yelling? not sure but communication is key just talk to him.

Exactly..my husband is easy going he says he's like that because he lost so much time being with his son.. we just got full custody of him he was in his mom's care then in foster care so before custody he saw him once a week.. I understand all that but you still need to act like a parent not a friend. I've tried talking to him but just ends up saying I need to calm down

sounds like hes trying to be as nice as possible to make up for the lost time but like u said he still needs to parent. im guessing he will grow out of that once hes used to having him fully.. but dont stress yourself out about it, hes a kid, hes a dad Lol they'll both learn.

Yelling at a child does nothing, they don’t understand especially if he’s under 3. You need to be firm and use words like no and stop. I would sit with your husband since it sounds like he doesn’t want you disciplining his son so harshly. If the child just got out of foster care perhaps this is why your husband wants to take it easy on him.

Yeah I do use those words.. I'm not discipling him harshly i don't Ness yell I raise my voice if he's not listening and keeps doing it! Like of it's something that can hurt him etc
