When did you start introducing a bottle to your breastfed babies? My mom wants to take my week old over night soon but I’m not sure how soon to start a bottle
I didn't introduce the bottle until 6 weeks, which was right before I went back to work.
Baby needs her mom, she’s so little I definitely wouldn’t be letting her stay anywhere for a while. Theirs a difference between a 1-2 hr break vs. a whole night. Plus your milk is still regulating out, so that could affect it as well.
The other side of this is you would have to pump or risk losing your supply/becoming engorged. It always drove me nuts when people were like "oh I'll take the baby so you can have a night off and rest" or "just take a bottle with you so you dont have to worry about it". Nursing doesnt just affect the baby, especially this early.
Just saying cause as soon as I intruduced it she refused breast after
I wouldnt for like a month
How soon did you start putting cereal in baby's bottle?
So I'm forced to re-train my LO to take bottles since I'm starting school & work soon & she absolutely hates it 😩😑 It sucks so much forcing her to take it, if I could... I would give her my boobs 24/7 😴😭 She completely refuses bottles at the moment.. 😢
Pumping
When did you ladies start pumping and introducing a bottle? I want to do it as soon as possible but not too soon. My doula knows a lot about breastfeeding and said 3 weeks. I've had another friend say sooner than that because if I wait he might not take a bottle. It all seems like a nightmare lol.
Should I let my x know when labor starts

time to start sterilizing her bottles.😍😍😍
With my first we introduced at a few weeks old, due to supplement of formula. By 4 months he preferred bottle to breast.
With my current we started about 4 weeks to do one a week, to prepare for when I went back to work. He still preferred breast at 6 months old
