When did you switch your little one to a toddler bed and how did you know they were ready? The only problem with us switching is his room is on the other end of the house so that’s a lot of room for him to get into things without waking me up

I think we're at the same point with our toddler. But also going to start potty training soon so wondering if doing both at the same time would be too much.

When they can climb out of things without hurting themselves.

18 months old because we just moved and she hated her crib and was trying to get out and would toss and turn all night. Once we switched to a full size bed she slept so much better. She knew to stay in her bed until we came and got her or to come straight to our room and get us. Her room is attached to our bathroom so we just leave the door in between our rooms open at night and both of our bedrooms doors shut so she can’t wander the house. Hopefully that makes sense lol (basically both of our rooms are attached to the big bathroom and we can get to both bedrooms through the bathroom). You could try a baby gate or shut her door and get a monitor

I used a baby gate and baby proofed her room until she was 3. She got a twin bed when she was two and has had it ever since. I put up a bed rail until we moved into our new house this spring and she is 4 now
