Good morning ladies! I need some opinions. So I just got back from my baby’s 9 months checkup, and she weighed 16lbs 12.6oz. According to her records she’s lost weight but on her last 2 visits they weighed her with her clothes on and today they weighed her naked. The Dr told me she’s worried that my baby isn’t gaining weight because I’m nursing her and giving her formula but she will only drink 4oz of formula twice a day and the rest of the day she’ll nurse on demand. I feed her solids twice a day too. Now the Dr is telling me I need to cut out breastfeeding completely to get baby used to formula only so she’ll gain weight. She wants me to give her 6oz bottle every 3 hrs and solids for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also even said when she turns 1 I need to stop nursing completely regardless. I think it’s totally not okay that’s she’s telling me I need to stop nursing, I’ve never had anybody tell me that before and I love it too. I don’t want to stop. Am I wrong? I’m moving to NJ in 3 weeks anyway so I’ll be having a new pedi soon but should I do what this Dr said? Or should I get a second opinion??
