I’ve looked online but can’t seem to find a clear answer. I don’t suppose anyone knows if child maintenance will effect universal credit :/ or is it an extra payment?

Not an expert and could be wrong but I'm pretty sure it is just an extra payment as it is to help cover costs for little one so shouldn't effect your payment. But I would look into it just in case I'm wrong lol

Ring and ask to see someone from citizen advice they will be able to tell ye more I wouldnt of thought so tho. Xx

As far as I am aware you declare csa payments but it doesn’t effect any benefits x

Ahh ok perfect thank you :) I just thought if he doesn’t end up paying which he won’t because he’s being difficult I wouldn’t do if it if it’s unreliable and I’m left short x

you’ll be fine don’t worry. I get csa for my oldest child and it doesn’t effect my tax credits or anything and I’ve always declared it on my tax forms
