Can you carpet clean too much 🤔 seems like I have spots of carpet coming up from the floor and some bald spots in my rugs🤣😭 but I’m so ocd!!! And I have kids and pets.

How often Do you ladies clean your carpets? I HATE carpet it gives me anxiety but we rent right now so there's nothing I can do about it. I know over cleaning it is bad and can cause issues. I ran the carpet cleaner over them 3 months ago and I'm ready to do again. I'm literally losing sleep because I feel like the carpets need cleaned again.

What do you use to clean your carpets? My whole apartment has carpets and they've been through hell. From juice spills to throw up to poop ( my kids had really bad diarrhea couple months ago. I just wanted to scream )

@j.concepcion, yeah I don’t buy that expensive cleaner crap to put in my machine. As long as it doesn’t bubble up too bad I’ll use it. Iv even used laundry fabric softener in my machine

I also clean my carpets like crazy! I make my own cleaner with pinsole and a little bit of laundry detergent with warm water and use a bristle hand brush to pull out stains and dirt! Hasn’t caused me issues yet and I’ve been doing it to our rug for about a year now! Just don’t soak it lightly get the brush wet and scrub and air dry!🙃

I use the Bissell pet pro heated carpet cleaner it seems it may be strong 💪 lol my carpets have came loose from the flooring

Yes, carpets wear down and break down over time as is, using chemicals and scrubbing them just speeds up the process.

I wonder if it’s ruining the foundation underneath like the actual house floor because I carpet clean like everyday 😬 or if it’ll cause mold. My kids always spillin something 😫 or someone always peeing in my floor lmao 😆

the moisture could definitely be causing damage to the floor underneath the carpet. We adopted a dog last year and he was peeing in one particular spot on our carpet, so i was heavily treating the carpet and using a carpet cleaner daily too and it definitely buckled the floor underneath. But he stopped peeing on the floor lol. I would try to limit the carpet cleaning to once every couple of months. Those are some pretty hefty chemicals anyway that you, your kids, and pets are breathing in and playing around daily.
