I swear I hate my grandmother. Everytime I take my daughter to see her it's always something. This time it's why isnt her ears pierced. She looks like a boy and only boys dont have their ears pierced and why am I waiting until she asks. Then she asks what does she eat. I said I'm breastfeed. She's gonna say that child need porridge. Make plantain porridge or oatmeal. She needs to feel full. She's gaining weight just fine!!! Her doctor isnt saying anything about it either. And she continues to insist I should give her porridge. Then she makes a face when I said I'll continue to breastfeed as long as she takes it. It took everything in me not to get disrespectful. I get she's old school but this is my child😡

Hate is a strong word. Sounds normal for a grandmother, they grew up and raised children in a different generation when things were done differently.

You're right, I just hate that she thinks everything I do is not the right way. It's so upsetting how she tries to force her ways on me then give a nasty look when I tell her this is how I do things

My grandma is the same way. I know that she loves me and is just trying to give somewhat helpful advice but you know your child's needs, and your doctor says she's doing fine, just say thanks for the advice and take it with a grain of salt. I've learned this the hard way
