Does anyone have ocd. The real OCd not what people think ocd is (cleaning)
I was gonna say everyone thinks excessive cleaning means OCD but if they did any research at all they’d see it’s not about cleaning. I have a customer who comes in every once in a while whose got it BAD. It takes him 15 minutes just to get through the door because he has to do every single thing 8 times! I feel so bad cause he apologizes & seems embarrassed but people like that literally can’t help it. I always tell him he’s fine to do what he needs to & take his time. I’ve even handed him his change 8 times so he would be comfortable because he got tense the first time I just put it in his hand. I could see he was not cool so I asked him quietly if he wants me to do it again until he’s okay & he was SO HAPPY. He looked shocked because I’m sure most people treat em like a burden. I feel bad for anyone dealing with that. If I had to do that every time I walked in a store to grab one or two things & it had to take me over an hour I’d lose my mind.
Yes I agree. People.get it wrong. Your house is so clean thanks I have ocd kinda is upsetting to those who really suffer. I constantly wash my hands and I wlak around my house all day making sure lights r off and doors r shut. I hoard "memory's" I didn't notice till my daughter said mom I think u have it. U even hoard text messages.
@motherfirst10, i do that too. I don’t think I have OCD. But I definitely have a hoarding problem with memories like you said. I have kept a pair of jeans from when I was 14 that my friends & I drew all over & im not even friends with those people anymore & I still won’t get rid of the stupid pants. I don’t wear them ever & they stay packed away but I can’t get rid of them. I’m like that with clothes too because I insist I’ll need it for something or “what if I go here or there & I need this” so I won’t give em away I just hoard them & then bitch about having too much clothes.
@goodvibetribe yeah but the way my daughter discribed its like over analyzing and keep bad thoughts and memories remember every detail just in case u need to remember it
I have ocd. I was diagnosed in my early 20s. I was on medication for it for a while but I’ve been med free for about 6 years now.
I think i have some OCD.. I have to touch things a certain amount of times.. everything has got to be “even” if that makes sense, locks is a big thing and washing hands! 😂 I’m weird hahah
Yes mine is lights, washing hands,I'm constantly thinking some things bad gonna happen. I hoard everything textea messages, clothes food.
@motherfirst10, that’s me! My husband hates it and I’m trying to figure out how to get better with it 😂
@anissacampos88 lol it drives my kids nits the most lol
Tbh I think ocd is like nesting but at the same time I cant stand seeing food on the floor or when my son throws his 360 bottles or food it drives me crazy
@motherfirst10 I thought it was a nesting thing even if your not pregnant
@mama_bearof2 I tries to screenshot the list of symptoms for u but it wouldn't fit all in the pic
