It saves space to do it like that. But put the knives facing down. Lol 😂
I agree with the others. Except for knives, everything goes handle down. I feel that the nasty stuff will follow gravity and not actually get cleaned. Or if it’s too compact in there and things aren’t cleaned properly since it can’t be reached 360•. 🤷🏻♀️
I always put knives handle up and everything else handle down. But, I understand your outrage. Any little change to my dishwasher set up gives me anxiety.

I do this too 🤣 I don't wash any knives in the dishwasher so I never worry about the kids or anyone else getting cut.

It’s just a thing I have about dishwasher loading. He also doesn’t maximize space which drives me crazy too 😆
@squishymommy1 oh I would get on your nerves. I load the dishwasher weird, I hate overcrowding dishes and leave extra space between everything. I'd probably only have 4 utensils in each bin.

@squishymommy1, lol this is the truth. We put the same types of utensil together. My OCD manifests itself differently from yours in the dishwasher 😂😂😂😂
@phoebesmommy, he doesn’t maximize dishwasher space either. What I can get into 1 load. He can only get about half of it and then hand washes the rest so they are all over my counters 🤦🏼♀️
