Ever since my baby got sick (about 3 weeks ago) he hasn’t been nursing even close to as long as he used to. He used to average about 18 minutes and now we are lucky to get more than eight. My boobs are constantly hurting.
Is it ok that his average session is so short?
What can I do to relieve the pain in my boobs?

As long as he's having enough wet and dirty diapers, don't worry. Babies get quicker the longer they nurse. He will nurse til he's full. You can try pumping just enough to stop the pressure. But the more baby feeds and you pump, the more you'll produce.

Thank you! Yes I think he’s having enough wet diapers. About 8 a day. He doesn’t poop very often though

If your still full after his nursing you can always Express milk. Either manually or with a pump. You can save it or toss
