37 week appt (37w3d) today. I hope they check me as I'm curious to see if I'm dialated/effaced at all. They will most likely check me as I'm 37 weeks, right?

Ask them and they will check you. I was already at 3 cm at 37 weeks
I know he has definitely dropped so I'm curious to see if she notices and then checks me to see
@db413 They did not. They did however do the GBS test so we'll find out those results soon.
They may or may not, but you can always ask. Its your body, you can know anything you want
Is there a way you can check your cervix yourself ?? I'll be 39 weeks tomorrow and my doctor hasn't check me once. I'm getting so irritated because I just want to know if I'm making any progress. It annoys me how other girls are being checked at 37 weeks and I'm almost 39 weeks and haven't been checked yet.
Well called my doctor about some pressure and other things and they're having me come in to get checked for dilation which they normally don't check for until 38 weeks and I'm only 36! 😰I'm a bit nervous!

Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?
So do the doctor automatically check me for dilation at my 37 weeks appointment ?
Everyone getting their cervix checked and I'm just here like "I haven't got mine checked since 22 weeks and I'm not checking it again until I'm 40 weeks and in active labor. Ain't about to be unnecessarily putting your fingers in my vag." Amen. God is good.
A lot of ob’s will only do it if you ask
