Is anyone else's son violent when throwing a tantrum?
Like, when I tell him no, he'll sometimes come and throw all his weight on me (&act like a noodle) and sometimes tries to hits me and throws his toys, grunts and or yells.
I just lay him on the floor and let him get his feelings out then he becomes sad and wants a hug then i comfort him and tell him the reason why i said no and that i understand that he got angry but we need to use our words instead.
Although, He is cranky because he gets up around 8 or 9 and fights his sleep till about 7 or 8 and his big back teeth are coming in, so i can understand how he can just get overstimulated with all that going on but please tell me this is just a phase lol

It can be a phase if you discipline him properly. Never put up with hitting but sometimes you have to ignore them as bad as it sounds. They want attention whether it be good or bad. I used to ignore my son when he would be upset and not tell me with his words. He saw that I was not giving in to the tantrum and started talking to me. He never hit though. My youngest on the other hand has tried to hit. I popped his hit hand back and told him no firmly. He hasn't hit me again. He throws himself down and I ignore him until he calms down. When he's doing this, I do not step in unless he is really hurting himself. My oldest threw tantrums and fell down on the ground 1 time and hit his nugget. From then on he would fall softly lol. They are very smart and just trying to figure us out
