Any tricks people may have for potty training a little boy?

We used books about potty, and it really helped a lot

I managed to get my boy fully potty trained day and night. I took his nappy’s away and replaced them with pants then had the potty near by him. We had a few days at home and he got it so quick. I used a white board and marked off how many time he went to the toilet successfully and gave loads of praise and my husband bought home a little gift each night for a ‘well done’ it takes a lot of time and patience.
