Omg I think I’m gonna make one of these ! My girls are definitely old enough. My oldest will be 7 in 2 weeks & my middle is 5. My youngest is 8 mo so she obviously can’t use this but my older two would forsure. I don’t know why I never thought about that.

Definitely think it depends on the kid and their understanding on punishment . I know three year olds that act like they’re 10. And they know well enough right and wrong and what their privalages are

Developmentally until 5/6 years old they need short term punishment. Anything lasting all night, or being later instead of happening immediately. They need to see actions and consequences. They also need the ability to have a moment and turn the rest of the day around. Personally I think “try again tomorrow” is NEVER age appropriate. They have the ability to change their attitude and have a mush better day/night. So why still punish them at bedtime?

I’m not exact on the age, but I think when they fully understand the meaning of “punishment”, and understand that what they did wasn’t the right thing to.
