8 weeks and doctor asked what birth control I wanted after I have this baby................. First of all lady, I'm not getting on birth control 🙄🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃 I rather get my tubes tide than be on birth control. I'm not done having kids though 🤷🏼 I want one more after this one but not right away of course, thinking when the baby is 2 or 3 years old.
That’s exactly how long I plan to wait to have my next. But I always hate that question.. like damn, can I get through actually giving birth first?! Or at least making it to the third trimester !
Exactly! Like I don't even know the baby's gender and y'all already asking about birth control 🙄🤦🏼
@j.concepcion, that’s what I’m saying. Like slow your roll doc✋🏽
It’s a normal question. They asked me too. I said condoms. And there was no further discussion. I just think they want to make sure we are planning something not to get pregnant right away. It can be dangerous getting pregnant the first few months after delivery (of course not always). Some women get pregnant super easily.
I was still in the hospital, my son wasn’t even 24 hours old yet and the doctor told me she could fit the coil for me!! Err no thanks, it took me over 8 years to conceive I’ll pass on the birth control thanks!
I always was a little offended because I felt like they were pushing it on me.. of course I always stuck up for myself. Never had birth control, and never let them convince me to do otherwise. Like, I will ask if I want it, ok thanks.. haha
@j.concepcion total bs. They arent supposed to push things on us or deny us a choice. Ridiculous... I didn't even go to the doc until I was around 6 months with my youngest because I don't like their attitudes with me. I've been to two separate offices in my area and that's all there is around here unless I want to drive out of the way.
@j.concepcion not to mention, the GUILT they make you feel for not agreeing with them!
@mayzeesmom2014 exactly! At that time, I was young and thought, " hey doctors knows what's best for me"... But now that I'm older, I'm not letting no-one convince me to get on birth control.
Dang girl your obgyn is so wack! From what it seems by your posts
She's not my regular ob, I was only seeing her because I wanted to confirm my pregnancy but my doctor didn't have any early appointments so I said to just give me anyone. But best believe that before I left my appointment today, I told them that I want to see my doctor for my next visit, not her.
Birth Plan Rant
I used to be all about getting an epidural, but after research and thinking about it more I want to have an unmedicated birth (this is my first baby). What annoys me is when I say that I'm going to TRY my hardest to have a natural and unmedicated birth people always feel the need to say that I'm crazy or that I'm going to change my mind when I get in that position. Or that epidurals are the best. I do realize that plans change, but why can't people be supportive and encouraging?
Momas that are on birth control need opinions. I dont want another baby for long time after i have this baby wondering what best is??
After you deliver your baby.
What birth control will you get?
All mommas on birth control! what birth control are you using , I don't know what to choose after the baby is born. I've never really been on birth control. I definitely don't want anything that can cause complications, weight gain and mood swings! thanks in advance!!
I have PCOS & I don't get why I have to take birth control & metformin at the same time? isn't birth control supposed to stop you from ovulating & metformin is supposed to help you ovulate? This is so frustrating. I just want to be able to get pregnant..
My doc asked it nicely. "What are you family plans for the future". I said we are done after this. "So is my man stepping up or do we need to talk options?" Hahaha. I will NEVER be on BC ever again. So there are no options needed to be discussed between my doc and I.
