My 7yr old has ODD/ADHD/SPD/ASD but his odd and spd are prominent, especially the odd . He’s been doing this “revenge pooping “ for the last 2 years . If he doesn’t get his way , rules are enforced, he’s redirected he will sit there and poop himself . Usually in public , completely humiliation! When asked why he did it he blames my husband and myself for not letting him do what he wants to do . He can not take any accountability for his behavior. He’s had numerous issues with going to school and hitting/punching other students and when asked he goes non verbal or passed of the blame to the other child that did nothing wrong . And yes , he has pooped himself in school and blamed us (we were irrelevant to the situation of why he pooped himself ) . Anyone else ever deal with this behavior?

Spd is sensory processing disorder? How does that affect him? Is the arm flapping a frequent occurrence? Any concerns about autism?

@gorgeouschoas Wow.you must be dealing with so much with these challenges! You are strong girl! I really hope you find a solution soon. One more thing. There seems to be forums for everything now. Maybe you might find one for parents dealing with these disorders. Maybe they'll have similar challenges and solutions.

I have not. But I did want to ask how often he goes to therapy and what the therapist has suggested?

@divinely_favored, I’m not trying to embarrass him , buying underwear is just getting to expensive. On Sunday we all went out to my stepsons football games as a family . It was a great day with great weather . He asked to go to the bathroom and there was only one port a potty there . I said no to the port a potty (trying to prevent a melt down from his spd , we have relatives that live no less then a mile from the field so I said I could take him there ) my husband said no let’s go and took him to the portapotty he goes just fine . (Surprised me !) than later during on of the games he starts hopping around on his tippy toes and flapping his arms (making a specical of himself ) so he is asked to calm down and relax . He gives a irritated look and sits no longer than 15 minutes before all the games are done he poops himself .

@gorgeouschoas oh honey I'm not saying you are trying to embarass him. I just put that out there so no one would think I was suggesting deliberate embarrassment. But I do feel like older kids usually take pride in big boy things. So maybe if he starts losing some of those big boy things like real underwear he might knock it off. What do you think?

Do any of you notice any odd behaviours with your toddlers? Charlie does things which to me looks odd or it just may be that I haven’t seen another child do it before, I’d show you a video but obviously I can’t do that on here... it’s like his whole body tenses up, he clenches his teeth and will do this weird thing with his hands. He will be three in June if that makes a difference?

kathleenc My Harrison does it when he looks at my hands. He tenses up, clenches/crunches his teeth and
karla22 Lexi does this when she gets angry like when i don't know what she's on about etc.
