I'm thinking of getting my hair cut like this. But keeping my hair black like always

All you hair junkies out there lol this is my hair after another toner.. I don't really like it (only a little) lol so do y'all think blonde would stick to this or do I need my hair lighter!? 🤔 I'm no hair expert so any help is appreciated😅 @joeywiththegoodhair can't remember the other person who was giving me hair tips 🤦🏻
