so me and my biological father & his side I am not close with. He told me recently he wants to be in me & my child life now after YEARS. but disappears again. But if I tell him he can’t be in my child’s life because he not going to pick in choose when he wants to be around he’ll be upset! Am I wrong ?

Thank you ! My step dad plays the role of my dad and will be my child’s grandfather when they are older I will eventually tell them about my real dad. But for now that’s their granddad.

that’s exactly how I am. My adopted parents are the only ones that they really know. They see my real mom at my grandmas Christmas but they don’t really know her.

I did the same thing! It really messes with your head-- I know firsthand. I've never been happier or more stable without that nonsense out of my life.
