My LO having trouble latching but I will keep working hard and hopefully at least make it to the 6 month mark Brest feeding
@kayhighness, I see. Maybe when you go to WIC tomorrow, ask them if a lactation consultant is available to help. The hospital where you delivered is a good resource as well. My first 2... it was hard latching them and I just didn’t have the patience. So I pumped for them. This LO is so nosy, he doesn’t stay latched the entire time to empty me so I still pumped with him too. If that’s your goal, you got this! You can do it! And keep in mind, it’s okay to change your mind. Wishing you nothing but the best on this journey
@kayhighness, also if u go in and tell them u dont breastfeed at all (but u really do) they will give u all the cans but they will likely take away ur nutrition benefits like eggs milk cheese etc ..
Ohhhh woooow :( I’ll be doing a walk in tomorrow and see what they say and do
@momof3cuties, @guitarplayer4him, I tried first week I strictly only breast fed and literally my nipples cracked so bad I could see my raw skin and I told myself I could do it and I would cry Breast feeding 😭 second week came along and i just couldn’t do it anymore so i did formula until I healed and now my son is 3 weeks and I’m trying to go back to breast feeding but every time I give him the breast he makes this face like it’s the grossest thing ever and he just won’t take it anymore.
You might get you a nipple shield I used them with all 3. I got some at Wal-Mart and use a cold wet towel after I nursed. Not trying to force it on you at all! You might go to your health dept and see if you can get WIC
@momof3cuties, no one ever told me about a nipple shield 😩 I’m going to look into it now!
@kayhighness I will use them the time also!
@kayhighness, just go to wic as a walk in and tell them that you want to formula feed too and they will give u like 4 cans just tell them u are going back to work and don’t have the time to only breastfeed.. that’s wat I told them wen I started doing both wen my baby like 6 months .. I recently went a couple days ago as a walk in and told them I’m not breastfeeding at all anymore and they gave me 7 cans
@kayhighness, yes I get 7 cans of formula and baby cereal and baby food purées

😭😭😭😭😭
Вот так ,девочки! Меня эта новость просто вышибла....

😭

😭😭😭 прекратил продажи
The first couple of weeks are hard bc you are getting used to that type of... “pain”. And nursing is hard work for baby too so he probably doesn’t want to put in work. I say do what’s best for you. Have you tried pumping? After every feeding, allow some drops of milk to hit your nipples and rub around to help soothe. Get some ointment too to help with the healing process. At the end of the day, fed is best. So whatever works for you, will work for Baby. Might I suggest a lactation consultant as well if it is something you really wanna do.... feel free to PM me. My LO will be 1 on Saturday and we’ve made it 1 year. First baby, we made it 3 months. Second baby, we made it 6 months.
