Has anyone that had GD while pregnant developed type 2 diabetes after having their baby?

Me...I was borderline when I did my gluclose tolerance test. It wasn’t until a year later I was diagnosed. That’s when I got sick and almost died.

@llcoolkay, I am currently type 2 and 18w. My dr said during pregnancy you should test 1 hour post meal and that glucose number should be less than 130. Fasting when you first wake up should be less than 90. It’s strange bc when I’m not pregnant I’m told to test 2 hours post meal. During pregnancy it’s 1 hour post meals.
@buneeh, yeah I heard it’s completely different when pregnant and not pregnant. So I’m not sure what my Numbers should be
