Yes happened to me with my second. By the time I got to the hospital I was 4cm and in active labor. I only went in because I hadn’t felt baby move. Funny sorry because I walked in calm just worried. Not in any pain or anything. While the lady next to me was grunting and groaning and waddling all around the waiting room. She had bags and pillows ready to have her baby. We get taken back at the same time and a short while later my mom decided to go home with my son because they were going to admit me. When she got into the hallway she saw the same lady from earlier being sent home because she wasn’t in real labor 😂

Yes. That’s referred to as early labor. It is the time when you are dilating up to 3cm. This phase of labor can last weeks. I was 1.5cm for 7 weeks.
