@ai.ariel, you get more taken out if you cash it out early. Mine didn’t have a whole lot in it so I didn’t feel to bad about closing it. I bought my dining room table with it.
You can ask about transferring it to your new plan if you have something lined up.
I think my husband needed to when he got a new job bc he couldn’t transfer.. maybe not. I do know for certain that you get big penalties so if you can transfer it, I would do so

I would not cash out early unless circumstances were dire. Sometimes you need the money now. But that would be my last resort

They'll tax it like crazy either when it gets taken out or during tax time. But if you need it you need it. I did the same thing but it wasnt a lot. 🤷
