My girl fell off the bed this morning. A good foot and a half. Omg. I feel so bad. She’s okay, I think. My poor baby. She closed her eyes, cried and shaked. I just held her and kissed her head.
She doesn’t have any marks.
She settled after a minute.
Ugh. I’m such an awful mom. What am I doing. 😭

You’re not an awful mom. What did she fall on? type of surface? How did she fall on her back, head, etc,

She fell off the side. I have her giant unicorn there and that took most the blow. Her feet were still on it but her head slid down the foot and to the floor. She was part side ways with her neck slightly kinked. I picked her up immediately though and only then did she start crying. I was shaking and that made her start shaking. Ugg

as long as she didn’t hit her head she should be fine. And even then, just watch her symptoms. Always check pupils and make sure they dilate at the same rate when you shine a light in them. Vomiting and crying excessively, acting very different. Sounds like she’s ok if she fell on a soft surface. It’s so scary I know.

@squishybaby, your not an awful mom my son fell off the bed twice when he was younger. Even now he still falls because he tries to do things he cant. It’s scary but they are strong babies.

When was his first fall? My girl is only 6 months. 😭

he was maybe a little older he just rolled off because they sleep so wild they end up on the corner of the bed. He cried for a few minutes then completely forgot about it. Now I’m just always alert and wake up just to move him.

My daughter fell off of the bed twice when she was about that age, first time she never knew how to roll and all the sudden learned the second I set her on the bed. She’s perfectly healthy and fine as long as she didn’t vomit after or seizure type of shakes then I think you are okay. It honestly happens to a lot of people. Especially at that age when they’re first starting to move around

It’s so common. Yet I feel so awful I knew it would happen and I still didn’t prepare for it or try to prevent it. 😭

my hubby didn't think our 1st daughter could roll over and he put her on the couch and she fell off it happens your not doing anything wrong and your not aweful. It happen to me when our daughter was 9m and I took her to my sister's graduation but this was 2 feet off the floor took her to the dr cause I was worried and she was all good
