My first name. It’s Shadé (Shaday) but because of how it’s spelled people call me Shade like a actual lamp shade
My name is Stephanie and if I am on the phone, I always get Bethenny. I will even say Stephanie with an S. After a while I gave up. My last name gets butchered all the time. My boys names are easy so if you pronounce it wrong, something is wrong. Lol
People misspell my name all the time. Its erika but for some reason people want to spell it erica or ericka and NEVER erika. It kind of makes me mad especially in emails or when my teachers used to get it wrong LIKE COME ON my name is all over my assignments and class rosters... I just got used to telling people my name is erika with a k.

My old last name that I used in school was Realey. Pronounced as really and people would say it like Riley. It’s an Irish last name.
My last name gets butchered all the time. It’s so tricky to the point where a lot of people won’t even attempt to say it when they see it. It doesn’t bother me, you just get used to it.
My son's name is getting butchered a lot as well. I guess it'll come to a point where one day he'll get used to it too!
My maiden name is Blakley and people pronounced it Barkley and Blacklee but it’s really pronounced Blake-Lee and now that I’m married my last name is Daugherty and people pronounce it wrong all the time so I’ll never have my name pronounced correctly lol! 😂 My

My maiden surname was impossible for people. I hated having to always correct people so I kept that in mind when naming my kids. Their names sound exactly what they look like and aren't complicated. Though people still can't remember them properly.
My maiden name was a fun one. I'd sit in a drs office and not move so I could listen to the nurses try to sound it out. My kids names are simple 😂 if you mess them up...well you need to go back to grade school.
My kids last name lol english people know how to say it (my hubby is pure english) i live in quebec were most people are French and cant even say it properly

@mamaof2soon My son's name is Canaan and 2 people mispronounced it already at the pediatrician office...It's pronounced Cay-nan but I can see why people come up with other pronunciations. I was just thinking oh boy, he's going to hear this all throughout his school years 🙄

Having an intense debate on Facebook about school fees for public school. I'm in the "stop whining about school fees and stop having kids if you can't afford them" camp and there is the other camp of "free school is a constitutional right! It's bull s*** we have to pay anything at all".
