TMI POST!!!
Went to the bathroom and saw some mucous in my underwear? It's rusty red in color all around, not streaky or anything like that. I removed it with toilet paper from my underwear and it's definitely mucousy, didn't soak into the toilet paper at all. I never lost my mucous plug or had a bloody show with my son, could this be either one of those? It was about as long as my pinky finger. No other blood or discharge at all. And no sex/sexual activity for at least the past couple weeks since anything gives me awful Braxton Hicks. I can post a picture in the comments if needed. I took a picture since I have a doctor's appointment in the morning and was going to ask them too. Had mild cramping and Braxton Hicks throughout the day yesterday, maybe it's related to that?

Sounds like your mucus plug. That’s what mine looked like with my son. Not much to worry about as it grows back if your not going into labor. I freaked out when I had mine come out at 36 weeks and they assured me it was nothing to worry about. I’d ask your doc just to get some relief and ease your mind though :)

I wasn't too worried I was just curious. Never had anything like it with my son at all. Ive been on watch for preterm labor since 32 weeks, so I'll definitely bring it up to my doctor tomorrow I was just curious about what it could be. I know old/brown blood isn't something to worry about really.

Maybe related. I had a nice sized blood clot come out of me about 2 days before I had my first DD. Nothing happened until my waters broke. With my second absolutely nothing happened until I had consistent contractions.

@rariszoo, as long as baby is moving normally and you aren’t having consistent contractions I would try not to worry.

@phoebesmommy yup that's what I figured. She's been moving a ton since my NST this morning so I figured everything was fine.
