Has anyone followed Dave Ramsey’s money saving guide? Or his way off paying off debt/home loan? Ive read a lot of good things but I haven’t really spoken with anyone whose actually done it. Interested in it though.

I plan on starting it next month. It’s a lot of discipline but I’m on a Facebook group for it and it definitely works.
Oh! Never thought about joining a Facebook group about it. 😂 I’m all about those Facebook groups to help me start new things.

@phoebesmommy, I told my bf about that, wasn’t sure if it was metaphorical envelopes or actual envelopes. But when I mentioned it to my bf he thought that sounded like a terrible idea because our money would be so accessible to someone if they tried to rob us.
@dshawnea, it’s literal envelopes. And yeah I totally understand. I buy everything w CC bc we get cash back and pay it off every time so we are getting money back all the time. You could always make an envelope system w fake bills maybe?
@phoebesmommy, the fake bills isn’t a bad idea or at least a paper with numbers and subtract and add like keeping track of checks.
My brother and SIL went crazy over it. But they saved. I think they were doing pretty drastic things to save.
Like more so then what he suggests or is his method pretty drastic?
We did!!!!! In our early 20’s we had to file bankruptcy and we did his program after that and have been debt free ever since except for our mortgage. We buy our cars used and in cash and we don’t have any credit cards.
