Some of my family roll their eyes at me because I don't let mine eat certain sweets but it's for this reason! Morgan has had Haribo now which was a big no no for a long time. Max doesn't though. I still don't like Morgan having them but feel bad when he's gotten them at a party. I don't buy them though. Also those mini eggs are a massive choking hazard because of the shape of them.
Mini eggs are a deffinatly a no no on all levels.. I even choke on them an it bloody well hurts. It's your choice sweets are dangerous for kiddies at all ages I think .. but I wont even be letting Olivia have a taste of a lollipop now never mind having one for 5 seconds xx

I don't mind Bethany having lollies, but I'm still wary of letting her have them in the car for exactly this reason.
I much prefer being able to see her while she eats it, as that way if anything did happen I could intervene straight away.
I'm much more relaxed about other sweets these days though, even mini eggs - she knows to chew them!
Saying that we rarely have sweets in the house anyway. Last time we had lollies, she'd won them from games at a carnival.
