So moms this a touching subject but how many spank they kids and it works and how many didn't spank they kids and use other methods.
Never Spank and never will. Redirection and consistency is where it’s at. I think spanking is lazy. There is always an alternative no matter what age. It doesn’t teach respect or for your child to listen. It teaches your child that his/her action resulted in a spanking, so not to do that action to avoid getting spanked. It doesn’t actually teach them right from wrong. Big difference between fear and respect.
I agree with this. Spanking has been shown to have very little effect. Every time someone asks me "well how are you going to discipline your child then?" I ask them how they discipline people in their own life. Do you hit your husband when he does something you don't like? Obviously not. There are better ways to communicate 😂
I try time outs ,corner, then spanks if none of that work.unless its serious like break a window then a whooping. But only my 8and up get whoopings. My 1 yr old I tell him no.if he does something wrong and move him away from what he is doing to get his mind off of it. If my 3&4 yr old do something I do the same if they keep it up nap it is! And they do not go outside or play
Also, you’re kids are too little that spanking is simply a scare tactic
Time outs.
Spanking is and only will be a last resort for my kids. Time outs and redirections.
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?

I tried it on my youngest after everything else failed...
It didn't work so I stopped.
Now I just take away toys, tablet. Tell her why that behavior is unacceptable.
My oldest.... She's super sensitive. I can't even raise my voice around her.
