We lost our last pregnancy at 14weeks in February.. we recently have been talking about trying again for another baby. I was told by the doctor that she believes it was a just bad luck. That I already had a healthy baby and believes we can again. But I am still terrified of going through what we did before. Emotionally and physically put through the ringer.
Aside from my anxiety of hoping to carry and deliver another healthy baby, my sister had expressed to me that she was also actively trying to conceive about a month ago.
I don’t want to put my conceiving plans aside, and I am not as open to sharing my conceiving plans. I am more private .. but is it weird that I feel that if I conceived before or after or even the same time as her that she would actually be mad at me ! We are super close and I have share that we want our children close in age . But I do feel like she would be upset, and I wouldn’t know how to handle that .

I think it’s natural when you’re trying to conceive to be a little bit jealous if someone falls pregnant when you’re trying but she’s your sister I’m sure she would see past that and be happy for you. I’m sorry for your loss, I’ve had two miscarriages and understand how painful it is. Try again when you feel ready. Good luck.

Thank you for your input, I hope so ! I would just hope she doesn’t feel angry. She expresses and talks about conceiving to me almost everyday! I don’t say much because I’m just not comfortable sharing our family planning.

I think it’s very thoughtful of you to be concerned about her feelings. However, if she does end up getting upset, that is truly for her to handle and not you. We aren’t responsible for managing others’ emotions. I mean she may feel upset initially but none of us have control over our feelings, only what we do in response to them. I wouldn’t let the what if’s worry you. If it’s truly a good friendship meant to last, it will all work out.

@phoebesmommy, thank you for this !! Yes I feel the same way . She’s a year older than me.. When we announced our first baby, she later came up to me and said that they were going to start trying for a baby but then didn’t ttc because of our baby announcement? I tried telling her it shouldn’t matter if we were pregnant and that if a baby is what they want then that’s what they should do. So now I’m worried that this will be a repetitive but now I know they’re ttc she will feel upset with me !!
Is this totally ridiculous or am I making any sense 😫

you make sense but in all reality you could be offended that she’s talking nonstop ab TTC after your loss but you aren’t. Whatever her feelings are, she will just have to get over it. She could be TTC for a long time and you could get pregnant right away. That’s not anyone’s fault. Know what I mean? It’s a bit ridiculous if she would be upset with you long term over something like this
