About family members just showing up unannounced at any given time or day? Not even necessarily close family, but extended family or family members that your not close to. Showing up with no warning, no text or call.

I may have locked my door, changed my clothes then gone out on our front porch shutting the door behind me and ask them what was going on. If they were just there to visit, I usually say ‘oh I’m sorry. I was just getting everyone ready to leave for an appointment. You should have called first.’ Then told them I had to make sure the boys were still waiting to get dressed, and shut the door in their faces locking it again. If they don’t leave immediately I really do get my boys ready and we head out to a park, playground or something.
Bahaha.. I have seriously done this type of stuff before. It's what it takes though, to teach people to have respect for other people's privacy/schedules.
Lol I just saw you’re in PA. Whereabouts?? My husband’s fam is from Lancaster PA. I’m from CA and it’s a totally diff world. His family stops by his parents all the time. I could not deal.
The thing is, my husband gets so mad at me because I DONT like it. He doesnt know what I go through though. Even though I stay home, I have a daily schedule and I like my privacy. There are usually toys everywhere, I'm in clothes that I don't wear in public, sometimes my boys are just in diapers, or I'm just not in the mood to deal with anyone that day.
He can get mad all he wants. Ask him if he would like random people showing up during his workday expecting to be entertained
Your work is at home. Just bc you’re at home doesn’t mean you don’t work or your life can be kick back with no routine or schedule. Maybe the next time someone just stops by, explain to them that your family needs you and that if they want to visit, they need to call ahead of time.

Exactly!! They can call or text any other time.. what's wrong with just giving a heads up.. even a few hours in advance would be better than just showing up.
If your not close to them how can they even communicate with you . If they come I’ll be surprise and be like “Hi watsup “ . Another thing if they come knocking loudly making loud noises I’ll be bother but other then Them coming to visit that’s okay with me .
No one ever comes over to my house and if they did unannounced I have a camera doorbell where I can see whose here and tell them I’m not home 😂😂😂
🤣 literally.. I dont answer if I dont have to. But if my dogs are out, then they know someone's home😑😑 or if my kids go to the windows.
@mayzeesmom2014, I’ve been in awkward situations with salesmen seeing my kid through the windows and keep knocking 😒
