Please no rude comments but i have a question for all u moms!! How old was ur babies before u made ur crib in to a toddler bed or bought one??
I think it depends on the kid tbh! Some kids are totally fine in theirs until 2-3, some do awesome transitioning out of it sooner than others.
Mine got converted to a toddler bed recently, around Christmas time (he turned 2 in July, soon to be 3.) I was going to let him stay in the crib setup for longer or until he seemed more ready, but he literally grew out of it aswell as started a climbing phase, so i took he leap and made the switch! It's super low too so I dont ever worry about him flip flopping in ght middle of the night( enough so, that if he "falls/rolls" out of bed he doesnt even wake up😂) I also made it a huge deal that he now had a big boy bed which helped him alot. Getting him to stay in bed the first week was a breeze, and way easier than getting him to stay in bed now lol 😂. Good luck with yours mama!
My toddler since 13 month’s sleeps in his toddler bed ,the morning he turned 13 month’s old he jumped out backwards after a urgent care visit luckily not one bump or bruise I went and bought him a toddler bed he loves it it’s the Mickey Mouse toddler bed comes with side rails and we use his crib mattress he had a 4n1 crib he slept in from newborn and I gave it to a family member it turned into a crib, toddler bed and full size bed
We were given a crib for our first daughter but we never used it because we co-slept using the Dockatot.
We just recently we purchased a queen bed for her bedroom. She now sleeps there. &’ We are in the process of training her to sleep in her bedroom. So around 1 year &’ 8 months old is when we started to transition her into her own bedroom in her own bed.
Kind of thought whats the use of having to buy a small toddler bed then upgrade it to a bigger one every couple years. Might as well just buy her a big girl bed to begin with and let her grow into it. We also purchased a high quality mattress so itll last her many years before it needs to be replaced.
My 2.5 year old still sleeps in his crib. He’s never tried to climb out and seems content in there. 🤷🏼♀️
I'm ready to take the side off for my two year old. Not that he sleeps in his own bed 🙄😂
Update. I just took the side piece off the crib 😂
Another update....it's 1am and both kids are in my bed. 😡
I took the side off the crib for my 2 year old and she’s done great
I dont want any judgement either but my baby got her toddler bed on her first bday and she was in it by 14-15 months old. She loved it and didn't roll out or anything. I did like it was a crib and I also put blankets on the floor folded by the bottom of the bed just in case. The blankets were halfway under the bed so she wouldn't get hurt and wouldn't suffocate on them if she rolled off the bed and blankets onto the floor.
Crib went to the lowest setting like 2.5 and big boy bed around 3! But we went straight to a twin size bed best choice ever
