Can we talk gallbladder? Finally saw the doctor after suffering for years, she is very certain it’s gallstones. Going for an ultrasound and blood test, if it’s confirmed she said most likely surgery... now I’m freaking a little. I had my appendix removed 2 years ago, is it similar surgery, what to expect after? What was your experience?

I’m sorry, it’s so painful when those things act up. It really depends on the kind of surgery they are suggesting, most likely four little incisions in the abdomen to try and take it out as little invasively as possible. The most pain will be the couple days after, I’d try some gel packs cold or warm whatever feels best for you and you’ll need to rest for about a week before getting back to anything too busy but again that depends on your body as well.

I think its different for everyone. But when I had mine removed, it was very painful afterwards for the first day or 2. I found it more painful than my c sections. But only in the beginning. I found it different from c sections bc the recovery moved along very quickly. Each day I felt WAY better than the day before. But initially it was more painful.
