Is it me or is it super inconsiderate to have a children's birthday party on father's day. I'm not even a dad and I'm so put off by the idea.

Yeah I don’t think that’s cool at all. Cause I know we wouldn’t be going to a birthday party on Father’s Day & that would be the exact reason I would tell them we were declining.
@massgirl, I’ll blow off family’s birthday for it😂 if you were dumb enough to plan it on Father’s Day then it’s your own problem that I already had plans. That’s how I see it lol.
@goodvibetribe ugh I know. It's even more irritating because I just got an invite in the mail for the "friend" party that is on Saturday afternoon. These people seriously made plans to celebrate their children ALL weekend and I'm the bad guy for suggesting we only go to one.

It's a family party for my fiance's niece and nephew. They're having it at my MIL house here in town do no one has to drive an hour away. They're still having it in the middle of the afternoon though at 1 pm. I wanted to do something special with my fiance since we've been so busy the last few years but I guess I can't now

Yeah that’s inconsiderate for the guests and just means fewer people will come celebrate.
I personally wouldn’t schedule one on that day because I’m sure no one would show up.
