Today was a tough day. Long story short, my MIL has custody of my nieces. We are watching them for the week while my MIL is out of town for work. My BIL was supposed to come spend time with his girls this afternoon. They were so excited to see their dad. He agreed to help a friend fix his a/c in the morning to help earn a little extra money. It took longer than planned and we had to break the news to the girls that their dad was stuck “at work” and couldn’t see them after all. We took them to main event instead to keep their minds off it. I know he’s trying to get things in order but it’s still so hard to see these girls go through the ups and downs along the way. 😢

I think the problem was he called to tell my husband last night and the girls were around. Tonight he at least had the girls call to say goodnight, but while he was on the phone with them told them himself he would try to see them Wednesday when he was off work. So we shall see 😔
Thank you. Things are better than they were when things went down a couple months ago and I know my BIL and his ex were probably doing the best they knew throughout the years. I have no doubt they love these girls though, that is one thing I will never question. It’s just tough trying to explain to a 10 and 4 year old why mom and dad aren’t around all the time anymore.
@ambrbratz, oh definitely. All in all our time is limited to our children when we have to make ends meet anyway possible.

So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.
My husband took them on his iPhone lol I did make up and hair....we need to save money 🤣🤣🤣

Did anyone see that video a dad posted on his daughters FB page? He saw a post she made where she bashed her parents and cursed them, called them lazy and told them they should pay her for stuff she did around the house... So he called her out on it and put the video on her page!! Sorry if I missed a post already about this already, but I just saw the video and IT WAS AWESOME!!! Hahahhaa!
Ouff sounds rough. I would honestly not tell them next time and let it be a "surprise" visit. My friend does this with her husbands parents, they often text saying theyre coming to see or pick up the grand kids for the day and then dont show so she just says "oh look surprise visit from grandpa!!!" Works and avoids disappointment and pain for the kids!
