wow.. that speaks volumes on the morals of your family. That word Isn’t okay just to be throwing around. It’s a real thing. Maybe it’ll take someone in your family to suffer from it before y’all see the severity of hurt that word would/will cause.
I didn't necessarily call them that I came home and called them that and you could ask anyone my fiancee's parents and my mother all said it too once we left
That is one word that no one should ever use especially an adult! I'm a mom to a special needs child and he has been called that and to see the hurt in his eyes killed me. Wow a Dr you called that too. Someone who went to school for yrs doubt they are! But if they saved your life or your sweet babies life you wouldn't call them That! Think before you speak.
Yikes. This word makes me cringe every time someone uses it. Completely insensitive & immature.

This is VERY uncalled for, My daughter is a special needs child. This is disrespectful in so many ways. Just word of advice? Its not welcomed on here at all. Its very hurtful word anyway its said. Learn the boundaries. But she is a doll baby congratulations
There are many moms on here with children with different handicaps. There are moms on here with children with all sorts of mental setbacks. It’s also 2019. The R-word is extremely dated and even more extremely offensive.
@momtwo4, So you are offended by my comment? Why? How do you think Mother’s of this handicap feel?
How was my comment more offensive than someone calling another person “retarded”
That word is just offensive and isn't synonymous with stupid, uneducated, ignorant, etc. If you know how to edit your status you may just want to correct it and remove that word. She's an absolute doll. Congratulations! I can't wait until my little girl is here. 😍
Most people come at me when I ask them not to use that word. I just wanted to put it out there. I’m glad she is doing great i just hate when that word is used
How you know they were retarded? What an accomplishment for the doctor though. I mean those boards are hard to pass for a intellectual person. Let alone someone who is suffering mental Retardation.
