One IVF cycle is about the length of a menstrual cycle! It might be longer by a week or two depending on the specific circumstances. But one cycle isn’t a guarantee, it can take multiple tries just like it can naturally. We’ve done nine total IVF cycles to have our daughter and transfer these embryos. We do a full genetic screening on our embryos in order to evaluate their health and chance of implantation, it includes the gender! Some people use this to do gender selection, we chose to do our highest scoring boy embryos first since we already have a girl but obviously used our girl embryos as well!

@ivfmotherhood, yeah this YouTube couple I watch chose the gender they want cuz they have two boys and wanted a girl and his chances of having another boy was 85% so they had to go through the process to chose a girl embryo and boom they got a girl and she was jst born last month

@divine.mommy, I personally wouldn’t do IVF just for gender selection, but I know it brings a lot of couples happiness! We’re glad to be getting at least one boy since this is our last pregnancy (unless of course we get a miracle “natural” baby in the future).
