I want some opinions, ever since quitting my job(for good reasons I don’t want to go into all the details of) we’ve been struggling pretty bad not too too bad but a good amount of struggle. I’ve been looking and apply for jobs and the county actually found me one however they need a day care teacher the first of August and I’m due the end of August so that’s a no go. I’ve been thinking about it though, should I just wait until after the baby is born to get a new job? Or am I okay to look now knowing I’m nearly 2 months from having baby girl...idk what to do guys. Drop your opinions, I could use it 😭

You’re a teacher?? Can you find any subbing positions? If so, why not work if you can?

@bubbys.mommy, what were you thinking it would be?? It’s important for kids to have structure and routine no matter how little. Do they do a ton of teaching or???

@phoebesmommy, it’s quite a bit of teaching. I knew there was teaching but it’s straight up like preschool. After 2 years old they are considered preschoolers and they do zoo phonics and my old boss went off of creative curriculum. There was a lot of teaching.

I’d personally wait. Because even though it’s illegal to discriminate against pregnant women. A employer is going to see you working for a few weeks going straight to maternity leave. Without saying that, that may be a reason they won’t hire you.

That’s what I’ve been thinking which I completely understand that like if they need someone really bad they don’t want someone that’s gonna work for 2 weeks then leave for 3 months. Just wasn’t sure if I should find someone that wouldn’t care but I feel like that’s a lot of work...

@bubbys.mommy, like a high turn over job will probably hire you.

You should wait until after you have the baby and are ready to return to work. No one will hire you when you’re due in 2 months. They will have to find someone to replace you during your maternity leave, which they probably won’t want to do, so they could just lay you off. You wouldn’t even be past the 90 day probation time so they could just let you go.
