So while I’m working I’m trying to make a list of things to remember to ask MFM. If anyone has suggestions of questions to ask, or knows what questions I’ll need to answer. Please comment I want to be sure to be prepared.

It depends on why you need to see a MFM. I’m 19 weeks along and I haven’t seen one yet even though I had my last kiddo at 29 weeks due to severe preeclampsia and hellp syndrome. If you delivered early due to preterm labor, for example, you could ask about the shots that help lessen that chance (makenna? I can’t remember what they’re called), or if you had high blood pressure, if using a baby aspirin would be beneficial...

Ask about a cervical cerclage at 14 weeks. It's a cervical stitch. Also, ask about pelvic rest and limitations you should be enforcing. Bed rest is another good question. Ultrasounds every two weeks starting at 16wks for cervical length checks.

I was told to avoid stress and all the unknown is just causing a ton of stress. 😂😂. My favorite OB retired shortly before Ella was born. But my new one was in the same practice and I have already met him and seen him. And he is the head of the hospitals OB/GYN department. He also actually listened when I said to my nurse her needed to come in because Ella was coming.

@februarymomx2 I don't get the avoid stress part myself. That's just like saying,"Come stress, come find me and allow me to give you a piggyback ride." 😂 I'm arrested trying to figure out who in the practice I'm going to end up with. I'm not all to keen with several of the other doctors in the practice. At least it's somewhat calming to have a doctor that was there for you and Ella. ❤️
