Looks like a boy but it could be the cord, I could tell my youngest son with my current pregnancy was a boy real early on but his “boy part” was smaller than this so that’s what makes me think it’s the cord, I would post a picture of my son’s ultrasound but I no longer post pictures of my kids on this app anymore because of all the people stealing pictures and all the creeps on here now. I’d watermark your friends name across this picture.

I don’t think external genitals develop til 15 weeks

That’s cord. The penis and testicles would look more attached and be the same shade of grey (echogenicity) as the abdomen, of not brighter. But it’s also still early for gender to be 100% apparent, so it’s still possible that it is a boy, just not based on this image.

I do ultrasound, no OB, though I had some training in it when learning fetal echo

I don’t think anyone could positively say it’s a boy LOL that must have to be the umbilical cord because it practically hangs down to his knees.

So if the ultrasound technician did it tell you she probably doesn’t know either.

I’m not sure we can answer this. But maybe someone on here is an ultrasound tech. Did her tech say if it was a boy or girl? If they didn’t say they probably weren’t sure which might lead me to believe possible umbilical cord.
